Bloggers Carol and Give Gifts to Fire Victims

Not later in November of this year, tabloids in Cebu City had similar news headlines. It was all about a fire accident that happened. Houses were burned down in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City. Over 213 families lost their belongings.

To show concern and love, the members of the Cebu Bloggers Society extended help to the fire victims. Since the Christmas Season is present, the bloggers came up with the idea of caroling and giving donations to the affected families.

Last December 19, 2010, the event took place. It was graced by the band Bethany who rendered songs. At the end of the day, the bloggers successfully put smiles on the faces of the fire victims.

All hands together for the generous bloggers and sponsors who shared their Christmas blessings in the event:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

December: Christmas, Thanksgiving and Reflections

Let's all celebrate! December is here!
Today, the last month of the year starts its countdown from 1 to 31. Time to wrap up annual tokens, hang up colorful lanterns, alter red curtains, embellish cabinets with socks, decorate series lights, top our shelves with snowman figurines and so much more.

When it's Christmas Season, there are a whole lot of things to do that is very fun. It should be fun. Though December denotes that the year is about to end, everybody should be merry and joyful.
We should be thankful that we have arrived on this day alive and kicking. For God, who has given you the best gift ever, what will you give Him back on His birthday?

Addressing you these questions could be quite advance, but allow me to do it so- "How is your 2010?", "What did you accomplished?", "Did you lived up your Christmas Resolutions of last year?". Many of you may have the answer 'yes', but some have the n'o'. Santa is coming so you better be good ;)

2010, thank you!
Talking about this year would make me a very dramatic person. 2010 has given me bountiful opportunities and happenings that, for sure, will be reflected in a way or another on what will I be in the years to come.

This is the year that I boomed. And by the term 'boomed', I mean that I have been involved in so many things, I never thought I could be a part of. I have met so many kind and loving friends and had chances in attending sublime events.

Enjoy Christmas Season
It's not all the time wherein you get to bond with your family. This Christmas Season, don't let it end without exchanging hugs, kisses and 'I love yous' with them. Make peace to those you have confronted and find forgiveness to those you have made sins.

May God enrich our lives abundantly, fulfilling our earnest longings, answering our prayers and hold us closely in his loving hands. Enjoy your Christmas!

Cheers,

Move Over 2009, Come 2010!

If I were given a chance to have 12 hours of blogging for this day, it would come out to be, probably, a perfect journal of my 2009 life, sad to say, I don' have one. Flooded in my planner are loads of walks and gatherings that I should attend. So just for an hour or less that I can utilize, here are little thoughts that I can share today.

Wishlist

T'IS THE season for sharing and gift giving is something I await for every year. Yes, it is partly because I'll be receiving gifts but I humbly admit that I give more than what I receive :p and I think that's a good thing to know. Everybody who's a child *ehem* or allow me to say those who are child-at-heart, create their very own wishlist. Wishlist- a list of  things one wish to come true may it be a material or something that cannot be seen but felt or happened.

Well, in my list, what dominated are the material wishes. Guys and gals please don't picture me out as a materialistic person- that's something so different from my true personality. Okay, with no furthure adieu, here are my wishes better to be called as gifts hopped to be seen under our Christmas Tree before or on December 25 of this year.

New Hair Style - I'm thinking of adding highlights or probably alter the color of my entire hair. My pals keep on telling me not to pursue such plan. They cleared up my wondering and said natural color is the best and I already look good with black hair.

Plushie - I've come to a thought that plushes are really cute, cuddly and best to talked with when you're friends are not around (LOL) and then realized I don't have one :)) Killua Zoldick and Sasori Sama are one of my favorite male anime characters. I'll be saving money for me to purchase 'em! Yeah!

Headphone - Sound Trips of mine will of course be not-so good if I'll be using earphones. I'm dying to have one headphone. One costs 1,500 to 2000 pesos and that's quite big considering I have other things to buy. Hmf!

More friends - I'll be looking forward for so many pals by the end of the year and or perhaps on the month of January. Want to apply? *laugh*

Resolutions

I'm a person who doesn't make any resolution when my teachers tell me to do so just to have something to write on my parchment at the first days of classes after the month long Christmas vacation the school offered way back when I was in high school.

Without any force or order neither a suggestion from anyone, I'll be altering some things about myself. I think that's pretty cool. Resolutions are fun to be conversed with people you love and know so much. In situations like that, jokes and hilarious statements rise and burst of laughters come on the way. It is because sometimes, or okay, most of the times, resolutions sound awkward and or ironic to the type of person who makes such resolution.

For instance, a very fat lady makes a resolution to go on a diet. That's really funny in reality if you hear someone with very big size saying something you can't imagine he or she can do but of course, you trust that person that she/ he can successfully reach such goal/ resolution because you are a true friend of him/her.

Enough of my resolution notions, here are a few of my New Years Resolution. By the way, these are something my friends will not laugh at me because it's something I already did for in the year 2009 but wasn't able to maintain due to time constraints and others.

Exercise everyday - I'm a sporty person and almost everyone who knows me is aware of that fact. I'll be making a promise today that if ever I can find a time to exercise, I'm really gonna utilize that time for exercise. Related with this first resolution of mine, I'm gonna make warm-ups before I play my sports (something I never do but never ended with cramps/muscle pains :P)

Join a charitable institution - Sure, I've become a part of San Nicholas' charitable works but it's already big. I want to be a part of an organization that is new and is rest assured to be a good  and trusted foundation. Take note! Taking a different road of any course if awesome and adventures are unpredictable ^_^ Fun is always there but both sides don't offer the same experience one can find.

Hhhmm.. okay, what more,.. I already have a list of my resolutions but without description. I guess I lost it, uuhh.. kei.. think... think... think... oh yeah! Before I forget, I want to..

Be more organized - LOL. it sounds funny reading the line when done reading the one above *laugh* I really want things to be organized but unplanned walks are awesome. I frequently get into it, actually. I know how to deal with those sort or stuff but I just cannot make a way on how to organize myself having no laptop. Hmf! How I wish I have my own laptop. (Add that to my wishlist :P ) Kei, most of my work most especially in school are related with computers. I really need one to get organized.

I honestly don't have any idea on how to deal with this kind of resolution. Well, GOD SPEED to me. Lastly,

Indulge myself to extra curricular activities - As I always do but I want more events to attend. You know what they say, "The More, the Merrier" but of course, the more tiring it will be for my part. I think I'll only know how to resolve this confusing resolution of mine by the time it'll take place. Ahahah!

At this point, my wishes and resolutions are adequate to spice up my Christmas days so I guess this marks the end of my resolutions list. Moving on, let's make a little review of 21st Century's first decade.

2000 REVIEW

2000 - a new millenium. People, off for a good start to last for the whole year and hopefully, for the entire decade. It's now 2009. Time flies so fast. The decade is nearly over and we have yet a lot of things to recall. Here are only a few of the things I can remember and encode down that happened in the years from 2000 to 2009.

2000
-Mr. George Bush hailed as America's new president.

2001
-First Ipod came (my baby)
-First Harry Potter Movie showed in the big screen (My favorite)
-September 11 Tragedy (My father was in the US that time and good thing the place where he stayed was quite far from the twin towers)

2002
-America's First American Idol had it's first winner (Say Hello Stardom for Kelly Clarkson)

2003
-The US invades Iraq and Saddam Hussein captured (Hurray! Bleeehh to rotten Saddam)

2004
-One of the greatest tragedy in the world took place;
Tsunamis, Earthquakes nearly 200,000 killed. (Let's pray for them once again)

2005
-World losses a Pontif, Pop John Paul IV (A great loss for everyone)

2006
-Sadam husain is executed.
-New Pope inaugurated (Pope Benedict VI)

2007
-Apple introduces Iphone (Don' own one T_T )

2008
-Obama is hailed as new president of US (Black Americans feel overwhelmed)

2009
-The Kind of pop passed away (A very terrible loss)

As 2010 opens a new round of rise and falls, let us not forget to thank God who is the paramount giver of all. He makes everything a breeze. Whatever happens to us, he makes it happen for the betterment of our future.

How about you? What are your wishes and resolutions?

Starbucks Limited Edition Planner 2010

Cheers! I've finally claimed one Starbucks Limited Edition Planner. Yippeee! For that, I can now create a review of the inside of this unique writing material that is good to hold memories and helpful reminders of our daily approaches.

By the way, I'm quite happy because our broken digital camera is now fixed which means I can now probably take some pictures for my upcoming blog posts. Going back to the main topic, above is a picture taken by yours truly. It's my very own Starbucks Coffee Limited Edition Planner 2010.

So what's great about this thing? Many. I may not be able to cite everything about it but I hope everything you'll know from here will encourage you to purchase Starbucks beverages to have yourself an original copy of the Starbucks Planner for the year 2010.

The planner cover comes in four different designs which is has a slight-rough texture quite the same to that of a felt paper. The first thing you'll see after opening the specialized red box is the planner wrapped with a glassine paper. Once you uncover the planner, you'll see the the hard-bound writing material with the cover design (your pick among the four choices) and a the words "Starbucks Coffee" in gold color, Times New Roman font format, bulging, manifesting an idea of value and importance.

Unlike the usual planners we use to see and buy in bookstores and writing-related shops, the Starbucks planner 2010 has its writing area horizontal in form. I really like it. It makes the user/ owner of the planner write quickly, easily and more organized. Every end of a month is marked with two pages designed to showcase some information and pictures about the history, products, vision, costumers, charitable works, partners and more about Starbucks Company.

At the back part, you'll see a small pouch intended for leaflet and paper slips container. What's good about this is that this pouch isn't empty when you first see it. It holds some folds of freebies and discount coupons. It's really amazing. The planner has its bookmark a new look. It's in a form of a single coffee bean with the characters: STARBUCKS 2010 embossed. You could smell a bit of coffee aroma when you flip the pages altogether. I love it!

Am I successful in convincing you to avail the Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee Planner 2010? I hope I am. God Speed!

Starbucks Christmas Traditions 2009

WISH FOR JOYOUS TRADITIONS

Hello coffee folk!
Time flies so fast. The November Days we haven't passed are decreasing in number which leads us to the month of December- the most-awaited month of the year. The month were Christmas eve is slated and for that, great preparations should be made. Preparations -may it be emotionally, physically and mentally. Today I won't be stressing any of those. What we will be talking about is about Starbucks Christmas Traditions 2009.

Christmas day is so near. Malls will have their year-end sales, schools program Christmas-related activities, television shows launch Christmas oriented station ids and movie shows, friends begin exchanging gifts and cards, and of course, most people would attend parties celebrating the joy of our Savior's birth. Okay- I think I'm going to far --As practiced annually in the start of Yuletide Season, Starbucks Company unites with the people who heartily welcomes the coming of Jesus Christ. In line with this, they launched the Starbucks Christmas Traditions a few years ago. How is it done? Here...

By the way, I apologize for having my pictures in low quality. I only used a webcam for this because I left my camera in the house in Talisay (takes four hours for road trip back and forth)

People who purchase Starbucks products will be given a red card. These red cards contain illustrations of small squares having some Christmas details and stuff that make it look good. The squares drawings/illustrations will be covered with a sticker of its size every time the costumer/owner of the card buys a product. A product is equivalent to one sticker. A red card contains a certain number of small illustrated squares.

Everything I cited in the paragraph above alters yearly. It may or may not be that every product of Starbucks Company equates to one sticker and it may or may not be that there is a consistent number of small illustrated squares [which corresponds to the number of products you need to purchase].

THIS YEAR, you need not to drown yourself with 24 drinks unlike last last year's. The owner/holder of the red card is only required to accumulate a total of seventeen (17) stickers:

NINE [9] of any of the Starbucks Featured Beverages &
EIGHT [8] of a
ny Starbucks beverage of your choice EXCEPT bottled

drinks, bottled water and fruit juices

STARBUCKS FEATURED BEVERAGES

Toffee Nut Latte (hot, iced or Frappuccino®blended beverages)
Dark Cherry Mocha (hot, iced or Frappuccino®blended beverages)
Peppermint Mocha hot, iced or Frappuccino®blended beverages

Promotion starts on November 4 ,2009. Stickers may be obtained from November 4 ,2009 to January 6, ,2010.

Redemption of the Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee 2010 Planner starts November 4 ,2009 to January 6, ,2009, at all Starbucks stores in the Philippines only.
