Business hubs across the globe
are no longer solely identified by office buildings and commercial zones, as
they are now rising as city centers that also thrive with clusters of leisure
and residential developments.
This urban ideal is being
mirrored by Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), as evidenced by the regional
prominence of two of the most iconic business centers—Makati and Bonifacio
Global City. These districts, where ALI aggressively pours its efforts, banner
thoughtfully laid-out business, commercial, leisure and residential developments,
coupled with open spaces and lush parks. Such endeavors arguably heighten their
cityscape just like the vibrant environs of world-renowned cities like Hong
Kong, Singapore, New York and London.
Taking cue from the result of the
abovementioned business cores in Metro Manila, as well as the progressive
landscapes of internationally recognized city centers, the company continues to
expand its footprint and expertise in bringing large-scale, mixed-use
integrated hubs across the country. To date, Cebu is
currently under ALI and Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) major redevelopment project
that involves the twinning of its existing business squares—Cebu I.T. Park and
Cebu Business Park.
Solidifying the
character of the city as a burgeoning global hub, ALI
and CHI called the address as Cebu Park District (CPD)—a 74-hectare
development that is home to leading business and
commercial conglomerates in Cebu. Showcasing the synergy of its two major
business parks, CPD creates a destination that allows urbanites to enjoy a space
that flourishes and espouses both convenience and recreation.
Globally-designed Enclave
Nevertheless,
the fusion of both parks is just one of the facets that define ALI’s venture in
Cebu. For
the last 2-3 years, ALI, together with CHI, invested P10.5 billion in
developing and revitalizing Cebu Park District’s overall masterplan. The result
is practically noticeable in its landscape that continues to thrive in terms of
business, commercial, leisure and residential aspects.
But with the aim to further bolster and reinforce the lifestyle
possibilities that are already present in the city, both companies will again
allocate P7.5 billion over the next 12 months, where in one of the main
highlights of this undertaking will be most evident in the expansion of Cebu
Business Park’s lifestyle centerpiece—Ayala Center Cebu.
“This distinctive lifestyle
destination is regionally recognized for housing different premier shopping and dining
options to serve the gustatory desires of both locals
and tourists. Given its function, it basically completes and balances the urban
experience in Cebu’s urban hub,” shares Antonino Aquino, President of
Ayala Land and Chairman of Cebu Holdings, Inc. “However, the expansion that
involves the investment share of Ayala Land Premier (ALP), will broaden the
basic intent of its masterplan.”
Presenting
a new living concept that will mark the beginning of sophisticatedly modern and
integrated living within the premier shopping, dining and entertainment
destination itself, ALI through Ayala Land Premier expands its footprint in the
region through Park Point Residences. The 38-storey residential tower is the
first of its kind in ALP’s residential portfolio in the region, as it is the
first living space that will rise on top of the mall’s soon-to-be-developed
wing, which will house a new Rustan’s department store and the expanded
Rustan’s Supermarket.
“Given
its location, future residents will experience sophistication and convenience
at the same time, as Park Point Residences will offer private access to the
soon-to-rise destinations in Ayala Center Cebu. While the idea of living a
sophisticated lifestyle is not new to Cebuanos, the newest residential
development will further the experience through replicating globally designed
lifestyles in major cities worldwide, as Park Point Residences will be set
right at the heart of an exciting urban enclave,” shares Jose Juan Jugo, head
of Ayala Land Premier.
Furthermore,
Park Point Residences recognizes the luxury of space in a thriving and dynamic
district like CBP, hence, each unit will be furnished to offer soothing and
refreshing spaces above the din of the bustling metropolis. With a total of 255
one- to three-bedroom units, the iconic residential tower will offer a vast
view of Cebu’s vibrant cityscape, as well as the expansive sea that borders the
city. And with the breadth of casual and fine dining and premium retail outlets
right outside the property, urban achievers who keep their lives aligned with
the city’s sophistication and fast-paced environs will find a home
complementing their aspirations in Park Point Residences.
A Thriving Cityscape
To date,
this isn’t the first time that ALP introduced a pioneering living concept in
Cebu, as it brought 1016 Residences in 2010. The said residential tower, which
is set to be turned over third quarter of 2014, aims to bring a country-club
living experience to its future residents, as it will offer direct access to
City Sports Club of Cebu.
“Most of the thriving cities across the globe
demonstrate or envision offering a lifestyle that is defined by expediency and
refinement, coupled with options that allow urbanites to breathe and relax
despite the fast-paced setting. That is basically what the expansion of Ayala
Center Cebu and the rise of Park Point Residences will replicate in the coming
years—a pensively masterplanned urban center and residential enclave that will
reinforce the innate sophistication and urban convenience of Cebu,” says Jugo.
