Globe
Telecom is raffling off one gadget every month as an incentive for its
customers to actively support the company’s Project 1 Phone electronic waste
recycling campaign.
Project 1 Phone aims to recover
and recycle e-wastes specifically mobile phones and portable devices as well as
their chargers and batteries to promote proper disposal and to educate the
people about the benefits of recycling.
Proceeds from the program will be added to the funds for 40 schools
which Globe is building in Aklan to serve schoolchildren displaced by Typhoon
Haiyan a year ago.
“Being a telecommunications provider,
Globe would like to ensure that the company and its customers do not add to the
growing worldwide problem of improper e-waste disposal which can pollute the
environment and harm our health. This promo is our way of encouraging our
customers to become advocates of e-waste recycling and environmental protection
and also a way of thanking those who heeded the call,” said Yoly Crisanto,
Senior Vice President, Globe Corporate Communications.
The raffle
for one iPad Air is open to all prepaid and postpaid subscribers of Globe and
TM nationwide. Interested participants may dispose any brand of their old
mobile phones with battery in exchange for a raffle ticket. One old mobile
phone with battery is equivalent to one unique code.

promo and get the unique code, Globe and TM customers should present the old
mobile phone with battery to the on-duty security guard at participating
partner establishment and drop them off at the designated cell phone recycling
bin. (Please check www.globe.com.ph/project1phone for the list of participating
Globe stores).

All the
entries in the database will be collected and saved to a file and will be
entered to the randomizer application of MegaMobile. After the entries are sorted, a random entry
picker module will be triggered through a command button to display a winner.
The next
