Nikon D90

For years, I have always been yearning for three things;  a high-end cellphone, a laptop and topping my list- a digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR).
WHO TO BLAME AND THE REAR STORY
Blame my parents. They have always taken pictures of all the members of our family but most dominantly, my sister Christine and Me. Since I was months old I was already exposed to camera. In all my firsts, seconds and almost everything I did. At home, we have tons of boxes where Mama and Papa keeps all of our pictures done from film. There are lots of 'em! I swear! There are even pictures which Mama and Papa haven't developed. LOL. True! :))

When I reached high school, I would bring our family camera inside school even though it is prohibited. Shhh!! Don't tell! Hahaha! In my third year of being a high school student, Mama and Papa granted the request of time- it was to go with the flow and change the film cams to digital cams. From then on, I indulge myself with so many picture takings because as all we know, digital cameras give big savings compared to those film-based cams.

Years after, I reached college and goodness gracious! I knew about the so called DSLR. My heart melted when I saw one in an store! Haba! Haba! I damn wanna have one! Grrr!!! Heelpp!!! >.<

THE POTENTIAL
My friends have been mere witnesses of my capability in taking pictures. Although I only have a point and shoot camera, they always compliment my camera works. I always volunteer when it comes to group picture taking and they don't hesitate. At times, they call me for making me take pictures of different things including themselves posing to the max! Haha! And I'm loving my acts. I just so love photography even before I reached high school.

See my work of art in line with photography in my photoblog flickspeak. It is a blog I made to show my talent and potential in photography which I had since I was a child and brought up until now.

I'LL BE SUPER DUPER HAPPY AFTER A YEAR
As simple as counting of 1 to 5, you can already make my sister smile. Simple! You only have to surprise her a cone of ice cream. For my sister, it takes around an hour- if you take her to her circle of friends, she's so happy in that point. For my mother, I can make her happy in just five seconds. I can kiss her cheeks heartily ~♥. Likewise with my father; I could hug him or say compliments.

Making me happy could only take a few seconds but in making me super duper happy at this point in time, it'll take for years because I have to strive hard in accumulating my savings and perhaps, allowance to gain around Php 40,000.00. Yes! You've read it right! Just 40,000.00 in a looooong span of time. Haha! XD I may laugh writing here but it kinda hurts knowing I have to wait that long to have my very on Nikon D90.

So? Wazzup me writing this article? Hmm.. I don't know- probably someone who's wealthy and has a kind heart might donate one. Bwahhah! That would be awesome! but I'm not expecting so. Anyhow, I'm off to my Grandmother's house. I want to check her out. Wish me luck in my saving :) GOD SPEED!

ON a SATURDAY

Today is Saturday. A weekend, which means a even more loaded day of work than the usual tasks on Monday to Friday. Guess what? I won't be attending four meetings and activities due to super hectic schedule but I've come to a moment where I have nothing to do (I can't remember how it happened) that encouraged me to blog out the latest about me and so here it goes..

TGIF Turns 1!
A month ago, Thank God It's Friday better known as TGIF celebrated it's 365th day of serving people with their delightful American beverages and food. The employees of the said food and beverage store situated in Ayala Center Cebu's the Terraces made dance and song performances.

Promos and great big deals and discounts were given as a treat to the costumers of TGIF that day. I wasn't able to see the store that time due to school work but my friends were present in the event and brought me home some awesome dishes and varied beverages (Thanks guys!).

You can visit the official website of TGIF by clicking here.

OC Training Sampler
I received a Post-It OC-in-Training Sampler Pack a few days ago from SM City Cebu's National Bookstore. It comes with Post-It pop up notes and Post-It Flags inside a cute and colorful bag.

Figure out what is OC and OC-in-Training and grab your very own sampler pack your by visiting and registering here. OC Sampler Packs can be redeemed at selected National Bookstores in the Philippines. Promo ends until supplies last. Get one now!

Nice isn't it? I've been using the Pop up notes and they're indeed helpful when it comes to reminders.

Reading the leaflet included in the Sampler Pack will inform you the three types of OC. I recommend reading it online for you to determine what type of OC you are.

Starbucks Limited Edition Planner 2010

Cheers! I've finally claimed one Starbucks Limited Edition Planner. Yippeee! For that, I can now create a review of the inside of this unique writing material that is good to hold memories and helpful reminders of our daily approaches.

By the way, I'm quite happy because our broken digital camera is now fixed which means I can now probably take some pictures for my upcoming blog posts. Going back to the main topic, above is a picture taken by yours truly. It's my very own Starbucks Coffee Limited Edition Planner 2010.

So what's great about this thing? Many. I may not be able to cite everything about it but I hope everything you'll know from here will encourage you to purchase Starbucks beverages to have yourself an original copy of the Starbucks Planner for the year 2010.

The planner cover comes in four different designs which is has a slight-rough texture quite the same to that of a felt paper. The first thing you'll see after opening the specialized red box is the planner wrapped with a glassine paper. Once you uncover the planner, you'll see the the hard-bound writing material with the cover design (your pick among the four choices) and a the words "Starbucks Coffee" in gold color, Times New Roman font format, bulging, manifesting an idea of value and importance.

Unlike the usual planners we use to see and buy in bookstores and writing-related shops, the Starbucks planner 2010 has its writing area horizontal in form. I really like it. It makes the user/ owner of the planner write quickly, easily and more organized. Every end of a month is marked with two pages designed to showcase some information and pictures about the history, products, vision, costumers, charitable works, partners and more about Starbucks Company.

At the back part, you'll see a small pouch intended for leaflet and paper slips container. What's good about this is that this pouch isn't empty when you first see it. It holds some folds of freebies and discount coupons. It's really amazing. The planner has its bookmark a new look. It's in a form of a single coffee bean with the characters: STARBUCKS 2010 embossed. You could smell a bit of coffee aroma when you flip the pages altogether. I love it!

Am I successful in convincing you to avail the Limited Edition Starbucks Coffee Planner 2010? I hope I am. God Speed!

My Survival Kit for EVERYDAY Living

AL's Daily SURVIVAL kit

SOME PEOPLE bring together things with them that they need. Some, bring things they don't need but want. And some bring those things they don't need nor want but still brought. In some cases people have a set of things they always bring eventhough only a few are needed or the other way around. I for one am a good example of this kind of person wherein I can't deal well with my tasks without its presence. A day without any of this stuff would be a terrible day for me. It includes videlicet:

IPOD - Music is like my soul. I'll probably die without it for a week. Somehow, music is everywhere. I have no problem in breathing. I can hear beats everywhere and my mind is frequently preoccupied with rhythms. I hum anyway or sing the boredom away if I feel being choked. ROCK ON! \m/

My ipod nano, purple, is full of songs belonging in different genres. May it be from dance music to love songs, 80's tracks to modern tunes and beats. Expect all genres of songs in my 2 gigabyte Ipod Nano. And oh yeah- exclude the scream-o songs dear.

SPARE LOOT - Parties are everywhere! Parties are good money-dissolvers. Night parties, unplanned trips, direct expense are always present when you're a party-lover. And yeah! I am one. I never walk without money. But I've experience twice having to forget my wallet in going out of the house. It was no big problem that time. After all, I don't just place my loot in one wallet, I keep some in my pocket and as well as in my purse. Moreover- I have almost anyone to help me via communication device such as cellphones.

CELLPHONES - Uhuh! In my world, unlike probably yours, cellphones don't rule. However, they give incredibly wonderful role in my life. Having three cellphones, each with different sims, I happen to contact everyone I know in any time I leave or am still inside the house. Though cellphone load is not present all the time in my SMART and GLOBE Phones, SUN has adequate load for my usage. The only predicament is it's hard-to-get signal.

There is no big way that I get out of our house without a cellphones stuffed in my bag. They are like your friends staying with you because through them, you can communication in a single press of its button.

WALLET - When we speak about wallets, I doesn't always mean money. Wallets can contain so many things such as valued pictures, significant receipts, valid identification cards, some checklists and other small and thin yet personal stuff. What I value most that is found inside my wallet are some cool checklist of what to do next [explains how forgetful I am] with pocket-size pictures sticked unto it for inspiration purposes, and of course, loot [which makes me available all the time] I'll taxi my way if time will play with me, and most of all my cards [especially the advantage cards, Timezone cards, Health related cards and many more]. My wallet is really valuable to me.

PENCIL and PARCHMENTS - Ball pens will actually do. Anything that will work as a clear and clean writing material and something that can pair it up is very substantial to me. Never did my day ended without writing anything. I am a pretty forgetful person and I frequently compose write-ups whenever a wonderful topic pops up into my mind. At times, great ideas come and go during road trips wherein I hardly can't write well. What I do?- I use my cellphone. One good alternative to make me remind after the day that I have this idea and that thought and so on.

These stuff always go together in my bags. I love collecting bags, shoes, clothings and other stuff. There are some that I frequently bring everywhere I am but not as frequent as the things at the top. These some things include 'mouth-entertainers' -ahahha! It's actually a word created by my silly head. I actually mean stuff that enjoys my mouth like sweet gums, menthol candies and the like. Another one are chargers. Chargers for my ipod and cellphones. Lastly, my 'retouch-kit'. It composes of lip gloss, powder and a purple color eyeshadow.

That's it! Adventurouslei's Daily SURVIVAL kit. How about you? WHAT CAN YOU ALWAYS NOT LEAVE IN THE HOUSE WHEN GOING OUT?
