Oprah Winfrey announces end of show

A shocking revelation was announced by Oprah Winfrey about her powerhouse television show a few nights ago. The queen of talk marked the end of her show by the year 2011. She made a countdown from that very night and stated the main reason why she is quitting. There is nothing to worry about, however- my favorite talk-show will not be aired ever again but Oprah is not retiring. People have been speculating for a different television show by 2012 or perhaps a channel of Oprah of her own.

What's up with this Week

What's up with with this Week

What a week! So many activities had been undergone by me. It has served me a plethora of good NEWS. A new week of adventure and trips will be taken again but before anything else, here are some things I want to share to you all. By the way, I would like to thank the people who avidly followed my blog. Aahhah! Tons of messages landed on my desktop be being absent in publishing blogposts for almost a week . That's I think really awesome.

Ripples of Hope

Get ready to rekindle your faith in God and in Man and watch 'Ripples of Hope' a stage play about the lives of Saint Vincent de Paul and Daint Louise de Marillac. December 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13, 2009 are the dates where the play shows. Same in all the dates, the play starts 7:00 pm to be held at the Colegio De La Immaculada, Cebu Auditorium [45 Gorordo Avenue, P.O. Box 221, Philippines 6000].

Tickets are sold for 200 pesos down to 100 pesos. Seats of the 200 pesos-worth tickets are good! I recommend to you choose it over the 100 peso-worth ticket, if ever you're planning to watch the play. I myself will be watching it. What's so great about this to me is that my younger sister Michelle is a part of this stage play. Attend the activity if you want to know her role.

Otaku Fest

For those of you here who doesn't have any idea what Otaku Fest is, read along. If you already have a full idea of the event's concept, skip this paragraph. Okay. so Otaku Fest is is an event most-awaited by Manga, Anime, Japanese culture fanatics. It's an event where kids of all ages who love cosplaying, photography, Poster Making, Dota Tournament and now, singing attend.

As usual, everything will be held at the University of the Philippines-Cebu Grounds. Slated on the dates December 12 and 13 of this year.

Set on the deadline last October, the registration for the cosplay competition was moved due to insistent popular demand. I requested though I won't be joining. Ahahha! It would be better if many will join right? :P Remember the saying that goes "The more, the merrier."

Everyone is going to be there so don't miss it!
I wanna visit Otaku On Multiply

Same with big Sister

My younger sister Monic represented her school in a on-the-spot painting contest and I'm so happy that yesterday, she was awarded as second placer. Among the five well-known schools [don't expect that I'll be citing school names], she won over Talisay's best schools in line with computers, sciences and art. It's really good knowing that your younger sister used your painting materials XD the ones I used every time I get to join poster making/ drawing contests.

Too bad she won't have her painting for now. It is displayed in her school. She told me that the canvass she used will be returned to her by January [that's a long time] so I'll probably be posting it on January as well. I'm so proud for her and I'm hoping that she can beat me someday. That thing only happens if she'll win in PLDT's Annual Poster Making Contest [whole Philippines] third place.

Pilipinas got talent

Cebuano! Do you have a talent? Scratch that. What's your talent? It's time to show off to the whole nation or the world what you got. Inspired by the foreign show 'Britains Got Talent', ABS-CBN Broadcasting Network creates the Philippine version of the hit show. Its ultimate aim is to see the best talent the Filipinos have whether presenting in group or just alone regardless of gender, age, religion, kind, color, hometown and everything!

Hoping for numerous Cebuanos to qualify, this television show will really rock the house down for it will surely give hope and inspiration for some of our fellow Filipinos who endlessly aspire for stardom. Hosted by Billy Crawford and Luis Manzano, the show sounds even more urging to watch.

The Visayas Region auditions are already done held at the Cebu Institute of Technology school. Everyone are geared up for the show to air on television that marks the beginning of the ultimate search of the best talent Filipinos posses.

2012 Movie

2012

The end is the beginning. The world faces this end -that is what The 2012 Movie is all about. Set on the 21st day of December in the year 2012, the Earth begins to experience a phenomenal happening; Flood drowns the world, Earthquakes crack the lands, Volcanoes explode, Fire and smoke covers the entire place.

People struggle for survival but there is no escape to Nature's Power. Later did some people knew that the US Government built sturdy ships that could somehow protect them in time. In China, people who knew some ideas about these ships begin gathering in the place.

REVIEW

Directed by Roland Emmerich, the film is one heck of the best movies critics have rated and reviewed. The film is distributed by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment which is, I could say really well done! The scenes are filmed and edited at its best that it looks very true that will somehow make you believe that it's gonna happen someday! The sound effects are tuned greatly that will really feel the thrill!

As for me? This Movie is the best movie I've seen so far in my 17 years of existence here on Earth =]] Oh wait! Scratch that! I mean the second movie I like the most. Nothing can possibly beat the Peter Pan Movie [2003 Original Movie] which is in number one of my favorite movie list.

Okay, for those who haven't seen the movie yet, here are some movie stills:
I hope it helps in persuading you to watch the movie :P

I strongly recommend to you watch this film! It's really awesome! Watch it with your family and friends!

How I am today

Here are short statements that tell my concerns
and how I am for the week...
ENJOY!

HOW JEEPNEYS DESTROY MY LIFE
These days are so tough for me. Everyday, I go dull for more almost three hours because of commuting. If only vacant taxies pass unrarely in the SRP (South Reclamation Project), I won't be wasting such valuable time everyday. It sounds to me lavish and frail. Being aware of commuting everyday destroys my day. It makes me feel heavyhearted. But considering the fact that I can't afford riding the taxi ongoing to school neither forth going to school everyday with my unacceptable amount of allowance; also that I can't stand its unexplainable scent, I don't use such vehicle much in traveling.

SCHOOL SIDE-EFFECT
My mind goes blank whenever I want to write. It's like having a side effect of my entire day being drained by school work. I'm partly blaming some of my teachers and friends for making me go cramming for early deadlines to beat, errands to run, demands by head organizers of out of school activities, obligations to be done with obviously inadequate time, expectations to live up and many more significant others to please and accomplish.

UTTERING "THANK YOU"
These days are pretty tough for me. Some heartily lended their hands for me to successfully finish my work. And for their help, support and care, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my love ones: For my cousins Marvin & James, my very own Mama Dolly, My younger sister Monic, my very kind friend Shahanah, my Auntie Mary Anne, favorite Uncle Noel and most especially to GOD who is the paramount giver of all! You all felt sad for my weakness that made me feel so loved! You made me happy.

STARBUCKS ADDICT
I've been contemplating for an hour of something really worthless- it's about what will I do if I'll get one Starbucks limited edition 2010 planner. Well, pretty much of this day, I consider myself as a Starbucks addict only because I'm dying to redeem their Limited 2010 Planner. In line with that, of course you have to purchase their products. And speaking of purchasing Starbucks products, I've been buying their beverages often nowadays just to own ONE Planner! Wish me blessings guys and gals!

much love,

PLDT WATCHPAD

PLDT myDSL WATCHPAD

The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, widely known as PLDT adds up more reasons on why we will be extending our computer usage everyday.

Introducing PLDT Watchpad! In corporation with Cignal HD, PLDT comes up with a new web service wherein myDSL subscribers can avail for free. What does it do and what is it all about? Keep reading.

If you're in a coffee shop, in a remote area or any place far from home wanting to jazz up your time by watching television while doing another thing online, you can now do so! Just open your laptops, open Watchpad and leave everything to PLDT!

PLDT myDSL Watchpad a 'multi task' program that allows you to watch your favorite local and international television shows and movies online ALL FOR FREE! That's it! ALL FOR FREE! Watchpad provides television, movie, game, online account even while on the go.

For those of you who want to have the watchpad program and/or those who have but don't know how to deal with it and don't have no adequate idea on where and how to begin, below are the features offered by PLDT Watchpad that will somehow serve as guidelines to you.

First and foremost, if you don't have any account, sign up. It takes only a few seconds to do it. If you already have your account, that's good ^_^

Above is the screen look of myDSL Watchpad being in the main menu of the program. Log in. PROFILE is the first menu in line. You can edit your it. Upload pictures, edit information and then do all you want. If you don't want so, worry not! There's no need to pass all the menus.

Next menu is the best part. TV! Hey, I'm no couch potato but I'm love movie watching and television viewing so don't judge me saying the line "..best part" describing the word tv :P Okay, let's go back. MY SHOWS is the second menu of the program which is a set of thirteen online streaming television shows namely: Pinoy Box Office (PBO), CNBC, Music Television (MTV), Go Channel, Animax, CNN, GMA, Cartoon Network, National Geographic Channel, Crime and Investigation Network, History, The Biography Channel, and last but the the least, Everything Entertainment. Channels perfect for the enjoyment of the entire family!

MY FLICKS channel follows. It's a set of our favorite well-known Indie Films directed and performed by our fellow countrymen and women videlicet; Cul De Sac, Numbalikdiwa, Manoro, Siquijor, and Kaleldo. Featuring the Manny Pacquaio fights: Dream Match, Battle of the East and West, and his latest- the Firepower.

PLDT actually gave a live video streaming of the Pacquaio-Cotto boxing competition. It was pretty awesome that we watch the real live video of the fight unlike the usual tv and website streaming where almost all motions where gapped with pauses and actions were late for more than 10-15minutes.

Opening Pizza-Licous game while watching a televsion show in animax channel.

Fourth on my list of Watchpad's menus is MY ARCADE. The menu allows you to play your favorite leveupgames online while watching your favorite tv shows online. The games are really fun. I tried playing one and the graphics are really cute and colorful. Ahahha! It matters for me :P

MY VIEW menu which is next to MY ARCADE is an original television show of PLDT. It's all about entertainment mainly hosted and Rhian Ramos and some popular artists of today. Band performances and fashion treats are the usual topics of the show.

I, commenting on a video of our intramural dance in facebook while watching a televsion show on commercial.

MY LINKS is the last menu, so far and is my favorite. Why? Because it is here were you can open the following websites and do all the stuff you want to with it while watching movies or television shows: myworldmydsl.com, friendster.com, facebook.com, multiply.com, twitter.com, clickthecity.com, youtube.com, femalenetwork.com, spot-beta, Philippine Enterntainment Portal (PEP), inquirer.net, and GMA.

Once again, PLDT has produced quality service making the lives of the Filipinos easier! Until then gals and guys! It's time for me to open my Watchpad.

Here are two videos I want you all to see:

myDSL Watchpad features

PLUS! What's so shocking about this high technology service aside for all being for free?!? It's memory usage and CPU utilization is so small! It takes less memory than that of our iTunes program (for those who have ipods and ideas about music downloads know this) and occupies a little memory space the same to that of Yahoo Messenger! YES! Aahahah!
Plan 199 subscribers get unlimited DSL plus a landline and a WatchPad where Internet connection is at 768 kbps. No doubt, PLDT is indeed the best Filipino-runned company yet. Watchpad is another pioneer service offered to its subscribers.
